This policy shall apply to the Be the Change app (the "App") and any other service provided by Be the Change (owned and operated by Beamdata, Inc.) (the "Company" or "We"). The App or any other service shall be referred to as the “Services"

Please read this policy in full. By using the App, you are also confirming that you have read and understand this policy, including how and why we use your information. If you do not wish to have us collect or process your personal information, you should not use the Services and should immediately cease use of this App. You also understand that we use third party services and apps, including MongoDB, Inc. ("MongoDB"), Node.js, Heroku and other third party providers to deliver the Services. We are not responsible for the privacy policies, content, terms, etc. of these third parties.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website. We do not knowingly collect any information or advertise to minors under 13 years of age. Minors between the ages of 13 -17 must only use the Services with parental control and consent. Children under age 13 are not permitted to use the Services. You are responsible for any and all account activity conducted by a minor on your account. If you are the parent or guardian of a child whom you believe has disclosed personal information to us, please contact us at so that you may review the information submitted and have such child’s information deleted and removed from our systems.

By using the Services, you understand that Be the Change is operated in the United States. Be the Change sees and can delete the information provided by you but does not have its own servers. The App is hosted by MongoDB, Node.js, and Heroku. 2. Information Collected or Received

To use the Services you will need to enter a certain amount of personal information, which is detailed below. There are opportunities to opt out of the collection of certain information, which you may take advantage of when available. Unless specified otherwise, all data requested by Beamdata is required and failure to provide this data may make it impossible for Beamdata to provide services. Creating an Account: You are required to provide a name, email address and password to create an account. You can create an account via Google and Apple as well. By doing so, you authorize Google and Apple to give us profile information and other content. Once the account is created, users are required to provide their home address to generate who their elected officials are. The email address and address are not shared on the app. The user has the option to change their name in the edit profile section. Uploading a profile picture on the app is optional. We see all information you provide, including your password. Beamdata takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access and disclosure of the data. The data is collected using various security measures including data encryption and tokenization of login information to prevent security breaches.

User Communications: Users should be cognizant of the communications and posts. These posts will be public. We may review, scan, or analyze your communications for fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, Services development, research, compliance with our Terms of Use and this Policy, customer support purposes, and other related matters. Users can choose to post through their profile identifiers or anonymously. Users may remove and delete any public posts. We cannot guarantee that any deleted post will be permanently deleted and be completely unsearchable.

Public Information: : Be the Change is a communications platform. Therefore, the Content you post, such as posts, replies, recommendations, messages, and your profile information, visible to other users (including representatives) based on the preferences in your settings, the preferences on the content you provide, and as described in this Policy. By default, your name and other information you add to your profile will be visible, but you can post anonymously or limit information publicly visible through their account.

Data Storage: : We may utilize certain third-party cloud storage providers such as Amazon Web Services and MongoDB Cloud to facilitate the functionality of our Services. The manner in which your information is used, stored, and disclosed is governed solely by the policies of such third party service providers, and Be the Change shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any third party site or service that may be enabled within the Service.

We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics or any other third-party provider with personally identifiable information.

General User Info: : We may receive or obtain information (for example, an email address or IP address) from a user visiting the Services but who has not set up an account. The information collected from these "General Users" is used as detailed in this Agreement.

Cookies: : We use cookies on our site. Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can choose to set your browser to do otherwise. Note, however, that if you remove cookies, it may affect the functionality of, and therefore your interaction with, our Services. 3. Control of Information

You are able to choose what information you provide and change your communication elections whenever you like. If you wish to have information removed, please contact Be the Change at You can only remove optional information without affecting the ability to use the Services. If you wish to have a copy of the data collected by us you may contact us via the contact information stated at the bottom of this Policy.

Facebook Permissions

The Application may by default access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public. We may send you communications via any of the contact information you provide us. Communications related to the functionality of the Services, transactions, or legal notices are required and you cannot opt out of them. You may opt out of non-required communications such as notifications, marketing, newsletters, emails, etc.

Be the Change may share aggregated information (information about users that we combine together so that it no longer identifies or references an individual user) and other anonymized information with partners for regulatory compliance, marketing purposes, industry analysis, and/or any other legitimate business purposes it may deem in its sole discretion.

We take steps to keep your information safe including commercially reasonable protection measures put in place by MongoDB, Node.js, Heroku, and/or any other third-party site or service that may be enabled within the Service.

Be the Change only keeps your information for as long as necessary to carry out the Services. We will only retain information after you have indicated you no longer wish us to use the information to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations. We do not control how long third-party service providers hold your information.

8. Community Standards

It is prohibited to use Be the Change to communicate any matter that is off-topic to the communication for which Be the Change has established and is maintaining the platform. Ethnic and racial slurs, profanity, personal insults, spam, or material that is harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, discriminatory under federal, state, or local law, or sexually explicit shall not be tolerated.

Posts in violation of this policy may be removed by Be the Change administrators without notice and may result in the suspension of the privilege to post on Be the Change in the future. Posts related to election campaigns or commercial activity will be removed.

Be the Change is not affiliated with any government entity and does not provide government services for which Be the Change is not authorized.

10. Updating this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We suggest you regularly check this Policy for any such updates. We will also advise you when we make changes via the contact information you have provided us. Your continued use of the Services after such notification constitutes your consent to the updated Policy.
